Three royal things: your shiny crown, your velvet cape, and a basket of golden apples for the ball.

Hop on your pony, Sammy. Chin up, crown on, heart open wide!

Clip-clop, clip-clop! Down the hill to the village you go.

“You’re all invited to the Royal Ball!” The whole village cheers and claps.

Tweet, tweet... flutter, thump! A baby bird has fallen from its nest.
Muestra de arte
Up on tiptoes, you lift it gently back home. Tweet, tweet! Thank you!

Plip, plop... the rain begins. A little puppy shivers in a muddy puddle.
Muestra de arte
You kneel right down in the mud. You take off your velvet cape and wrap the puppy up warm.
Muestra de arte
Sniff, sniff. A little girl dropped her lunch in the mud. Her tummy rumbles.
Muestra de arte
You give her your golden apples. Crunch! Her smile is like sunshine.
Muestra de arte
Uh-oh, Sammy! The sun is setting. The ball is starting soon!
Muestra de arte
No cape. No apples. And mud all over your pretty dress!
Muestra de arte
Your tummy twists. What will everyone think of a muddy princess, Sammy?
Muestra de arte
You ride home slowly. Then you smile. The bird is home. The puppy is warm. A tummy is full.
Muestra de arte
The castle sparkles. Music floats out. You peek inside
Muestra de arte
Everyone turns to look. You take a deep breath. Chin up, crown on, heart open wide.
Muestra de arte
Then... tweet, tweet! The baby bird and its mama flutter in.
Muestra de arte
Woof, woof! The puppy runs in, still wrapped in your cape.
Muestra de arte
And the little girl skips in, holding a crown she made of flowers.
Muestra de arte
“Sammy helped us!” they all say. Then the whole ballroom cheers!
Muestra de arte
The king and queen smile. They lift up a brand-new crown
Muestra de arte
A crown of flowers from the whole village! The Kindest Crown, just for you, Sammy!
Muestra de arte
You don’t feel muddy anymore. You feel like the shiniest princess in the land.
Muestra de arte
Time to dance! Twirl, Sammy, twirl! Even the puppy dances.
Muestra de arte
Fancy clothes are nice. But a kind heart is what makes a true princess.
Muestra de arte
Night falls. You wave to the village from your tower window. Chin up, crown on, heart open wide.
Muestra de arte
Goodnight, Princess Sammy. Sweet royal dreams.
