Spray the hose! WHOOSH! The water sparkles like a rainbow.

Ding, ding, DING! The alarm rings! Your heart races. Deep breath. Stay calm, stay smart.

It’s a cat up a tree! Up goes the ladder. Down comes the cat.

On the way back to the station, you look out the window... What is that?
Exempelbild
Smoke! Far away in the park, a campfire was left burning. The dry grass begins to crackle.
Exempelbild
And kids are playing nearby! Your tummy flips. You want to shout and jump out!
Exempelbild
But you take a deep breath instead. Stay calm, stay smart. “This is Sammy. Smoke in the park!”
Exempelbild
Wee-oo, wee-oo! The truck turns around and races back to the park.
Exempelbild
The truck stops. “Stay back, everyone!” you say in a calm, clear voice. You walk the kids far away.
Exempelbild
The firefighters roll out the long hose. You help hold the end, far from the fire. Heave, ho!
Exempelbild
WHOOSH! The water sprays. Sizzle, hiss... the flames get smaller and smaller.
Exempelbild
The fire is out! But where is the spotty puppy?
Exempelbild
Yip! A tiny bark from under a bench. You shine your flashlight.
Exempelbild
There it is, shaking and dusty. “It’s okay. I’m Sammy. You’re safe.”
Exempelbild
You share your water. Slurp, slurp. Wag, wag!
Exempelbild
“Great job, Sammy!” the firefighters say. “You stayed calm and smart.”
Exempelbild
The kids cheer. The puppy licks your nose. Giggle!
Exempelbild
Back at the station, the firefighters pin a shiny badge on your jacket.
Exempelbild
Remember: always put campfires all the way out. Splash! Stir! Check!
Exempelbild
Being brave isn’t about being loud or fast. It’s about staying calm and keeping everyone safe.
Exempelbild
The puppy curls up beside you. Calm and brave. What a day, Sammy!
Exempelbild
Goodnight, Sammy. Stay calm, stay smart... and snooze, snooze, snooze.
